European Aluminium – 5 Priorities Manifesto

THE CHALLENGE

European Aluminium aimed to deliver a bold message to policymakers and industry stakeholders in anticipation of the 2024 European Parliament elections. Their goal was to highlight Aluminium’s strategic significance for Europe’s green transition and industrial resilience.

The challenge was doubly:

  1. Develop a captivating digital manifesto that stands out from the typical, dry style of policy documents.
  2. Enhance its impact on social media with visually engaging, branded templates suitable for LinkedIn and Twitter.

The project required fast execution of high-quality work within a tight two-week timeframe, pushing the creative boundaries of institutional design.

THE  SOLUTION

Room4 Media took charge of the editorial design and creative direction for the 5 Priorities Manifesto, creating a digital-first publication that effectively combined strong messaging with compelling visuals. The project included:

– A digital and print-ready manifesto that featured bold typography, a diverse colour palette, and imagery centred on clean technologies (e.g., wind, solar, electric vehicles).

  • A departure from clichéd-standard industrial visuals, opting instead for forward-looking energy imagery.
  • Reinforcement of the core message through the use of the #Aluminium4Europe hashtag on every page.
  • To further extend the reach, Room4 Media designed a modular set of branded content templates:
    • Quote card templates for Twitter and LinkedIn
    • Carousel templates
    • LinkedIn Newsletter banner
    • Landing page
THE  RESULTS
  • Our team delivered both the manifesto and social media packages on time and within budget
  • The client praised the project for its high visual impact and clear, persuasive messaging.
  • The assets became integral to the client’s ongoing advocacy and content strategy leading up to the EU elections.
  • A short video version of the manifesto was created to achieve additional reach (used in presentations and social media clips).
